Mark chapter 2 verses 15-17:
15While Jesus was having dinner at Levi's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"17On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
I know non-believers that love more deeply than believers... That makes my stomach sick. I know I've done it before and will likely do it again... which makes me even sicker. Seriously, we need to forgive not only each other, but also ourselves. I know that I struggle with letting go of my own failures to the point where I carry it around with me when I should give it over to Him.
It's usually the little things; "oh I shouldn't have said that", "why did I give that look, it made it seem like I meant something (else) by it", "why didn't I say something when I needed to", etc. Carrying our own failures is exhausting and completely unnecessary and we're telling God that He's not big enough to handle it.
His grace covers it all, no matter what we've done He will forgive if we repent. We can't earn it. We can't manipulate Him. There is no such thing as karma. He is in control and He has a plan and a way for us all. All for HIS glory.
